"He Makes Us Babies"

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".  John 3:16

In the story of the birth of Jesus we see some main characters:  Mary, Joseph, shepherds, wise men.  Mary, Joseph and the shepherds were Jewish.  The wise men were Gentiles.  The shepherds were uneducated and considered outcast.  The wise men were highly educated and esteemed.

What a beautiful picture we see of John 3:16 presented at Jesus' birth.  The announcement of His birth was given and an invitation to come see Him was given to male, female, Jew, Gentile, the least and the greatest-- all mankind.

That invitation is still going out today.  "Come see".  "Come worship".  "Come receive".  They received a birth announcement.  We are still receiving a "birth announcement" as well.  An announcement and invitation to come to Him-- not to the baby, but to the risen Christ-- and experience our own "new birth".  "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". (John 3:3)  While we are celebrating His birth.  He actually came so that we could be "born"-- born again into new life, having our sins forgiven.

Are you worshipping His birth?  Are you celebrating His coming into the world as a baby?  As you are, rejoice that this baby came to make you a "baby"-- a new born babe, a new creation, a born-again child of God.

Have a great day.  The baby Jesus came into the world for all people in order to make us all new born babes.

"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby".  1 Peter 2:2

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new".  2 Corinthians 5:17
