The world says that there are many ways that lead to God. It says that it doesn't matter what your religious belief is, it will lead you to God-- they all lead to God. Though we don't like to think that we share this same belief in Christianity, I am concerned that we really have adopted this same way of thinking. Let me explain what I mean.
While we don't believe that you can get to God through Mohammad, through Buddha, through following the teachings of some prophet, or through some idealistic philosophy, we seem to think that we can get to God by doing some religious duty.
We seem to believe that if we join a church membership roll, if we are baptized in water, if we teach a Bible class, if we give offerings to the church, if we abstain from sexual immorality, if we give aims to the poor, and if we are good and treat others good then we will get to God.
This is the same thinking that the world has-- there are many ways to God. Although ours is more subtle and it involves doing "Christian influenced" religious acts more than following some person or teaching like those who are following different religious beliefs.
Many roads/ways do not lead to God. All roads/ways do not lead to God. There is only One Way that leads to God the Father and His name is Jesus. He alone is the way. Following some great teacher or prophet won't get you there. Going to church on Sunday won't get you there. Joining a church won't get you there. Faith and trust and following Jesus is the only way that will get you there. He is the Door-- the way to enter in. If you try to go through any other way you are like a thief and won't get in. You must go through the door-- Jesus.
Have a great day. Many ways don't lead to God, including religious church activity.
