God has a plan for each of our lives. Although we don't always know what that plan is, we have to remember that He does. We don't always know where His plan may take us, but He does. I am sure that David never dreamed God's plan for his life would make him King of Israel. I am certain that Joseph never thought God's plan would take him into slavery in Egypt and then to the palace. I am sure that Mary never thought God's plan for her would be to give birth to the Messiah. I am sure that Moses didn't know God's plan for him would start on the back side of the desert. When Peter was fishing, I feel sure he didn't have any idea that God's plan would make him one of Jesus' chosen twelve disciples, nor did Matthew when he was collecting taxes.
As I said earlier, we don't always know what the plan of God is for our lives and we don't know where it will take us. It may take us to a foreign land. It may take us into a new vocation. It may take us into parenthood. It may take us away from our families and friends. It will surely always take us out of our comfort zone. But wherever it may take us, we need to be willing to go. We need to trust God and go. We need to remember that we don't go it alone. We need to remember that He goes with us. We need to keep in mind that going wherever His plan leads us may not always be easy, but in the end it will be worth it and we will be glad we did. Ruth followed God's plan and left her native land, family, friends, the customs of her people, everything, but in the end she gained more and became the great-grandmother of King David.
Have a great day. We don't always know where God's plan may take us, but it will be worth it all in the long run.
