"Gift Giver"

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."  James 1:17

We just celebrated Christmas, the time we call the "gift giving season".  But giving gifts isn't over-- not for our Heavenly Father.  He gives us gifts daily. 

The greatest gift He has given us is eternal life through faith in His Son Jesus.  But there are so many more gifts He desires to bestow on you.  And His gifts are all good and they are perfect.

Here are a few of His gifts that He desires to bless you with:
Peace that passes understanding.
Joy that is unspeakable and full of glory.
Grace that is sufficient.
Strength that is made perfect in weakness.
Wisdom that comes from above. 
Freedom through truth.
Beauty for ashes.
Eyes of understanding and discernment.
Love for your enemies.
Help in time of trouble.
Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
His Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct you.
A word in due season.
Health and prosperity to the degree your soul prospers.
Faith to move mountains.
Abundant life.

Do you need any of these?  Sure you do.... I do... we all do.  They are provided for us and given to us wrapped up in His love and goodness.  Do we deserve them?  No, but that is what makes them a gift.  A gift is something given to someone not because they earn it but because the giver desires for them to have it.  Please believe today that the Lord has gifts for you and that He wants to give them to you.  But as with any gift, it must be received.  Receive them today.
