"Your Giving Is Noticed"

"He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour." Psalm 112:9

God's nature is that of a giver. He gave His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for our sins. He gives gifts to men. He gives us our daily bread. He gives meat in due season. He gives wisdom to those who ask. And the list goes on and on.

His children should posses the same nature and character of their Heavenly Father. Therefore, we should be givers too. We should not neglect to give to those who are in need when it is in our power to do so. Giving is not always monetary giving, but sometimes it is. Giving is based on the need at the moment. Isn't that what the Father does? Supplies the "need". You may need to give a hearing ear, a strong shoulder, a word of wisdom or encouragement, a loaf of bread, a new dress, a light bill or even a cup of cold water to meet the need.

I want to remind you this morning that whatever you give does not go unnoticed by the Father. He notices everything. He takes note of what you have given and when you have given it. He remembers your giving long after you have forgotten it. He remembers and never forgets what you do for others- even if it is a just a cup of cold water to a thirsty person. He remembers what you give to Him and never forgets it either. "She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her." (Mark 14:8,9)

Our purpose in giving to God and to others should never be for recognition or to receive a reward in return. But the fact remains that what we do give, God does notice, He does remember and He will reward. So don't grow weary in well doing for in due season you will reap if you faint not because the Father is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love. (Galatians 6:9; Hebrews 6:10)

Have a great day. The Father notices your giving and He will never forget it.
