"Live In Faith"

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

Some Christians think that faith is something they have to put into operation when things are going bad, or they are going through a trial.  I agree that during those times we do have to stand in faith and put it into action, but faith isn't just for these times... it's for ALL the times of our lives.  Faith is needed for the good times as well.

Faith is not just an anchor in the storm.  The Bible tells us that the "just shall LIVE by faith."  This means that my whole life is encompassed by faith, and not just certain times or situations.

It's been said that after the trial has passed or that thing that you were hoping for has manifested, you don't need faith anymore.  Faith is the substance behind what I am hoping for, so when I get it, I don't need faith for that particular thing anymore, but I still need faith- I have to walk in faith every day.  Are you putting your faith in action just when things are going bad?  Are you standing in faith only when you are facing a trial?  It takes faith to believe that God is going to keep you safe and protected while you sleep and wake you up to the dawn of a new day.  It takes faith to believe that with each new day God will supply your every need.  It takes faith to keep holding on to the hope that should this be the day that He calls you home, you will go to be with Him.  It takes faith every time you say a prayer or send up a praise- faith that He hears you.  It takes faith to believe that He is finishing the work He started in you.  So, you see, faith isn't just a "bad weather" friend, it should be there in the "fair weather" too.

Have a great day.  Faith is a lifestyle for the Christian.
