"They Still Know His Name"

"And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!”  And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."  Mark 4:39

The waves, the winds and the storm ceased at the command of Jesus.  The legion of demons fled from the possessed man in Gadara at the command of Jesus.  Death lost its hold on Lazarus at the command of Jesus.  Sickness in the lives of those who were brought to Jesus left at the command of Jesus.  Storms, demons, death, sickness, all obeyed the voice of Jesus.  He spoke, He commanded, He rebuked, they all heard and obeyed.

Though these all happened in the Bible, in the New Testament, a couple of thousand years ago, they still can happen today.  There is a line in a chorus that says-  "The waves and the winds still know His name".  Demons are still subject to Jesus today.  Storms are still subject to Him.  Sickness is still subject to Him.  Death is still subject to Him.  He has not changed.  His authority has not changed.  The power of His word, His commands, His rebukes, have not changed.  All power in heaven and earth was given to Him, and still is.  

Speak to the storm you are in, it still knows His name and it still has to obey.  Speak to the situation you are facing, it still knows His name and is still subject to Him and still has to obey.  

Have a great day.  Winds, waves, storms, sickness, demons, etc. all still know the Name of Jesus and are still subject to Him.
