God's law/word is wonderful and wondrous.
Sadly, most people don't see it as such. They see it as confining, restrictive, a kill-joy, binding, opposed to them having a good time. Therefore, they rebel against it, turn from it, condemn it, blaspheme it, reject it and mock it. The people who have this opinion of God's word are those who want to live by their own rules and govern their own lives.
But for those who have made the choice to surrender the Lordship of their own lives up to follow Jesus Christ, it is a source of blessings. It is a source of comfort. It gives protection within its safe boundaries. It is hope for hopeless times. It is strength during weakness. It is help in times of trouble. It is life, it is light, it gives direction and clarity. They love God's Word and find peace, comfort and joy in it. This is why they pray, "Open my eyes, that I may see the wonderful things that are in Your word."
The Word only becomes wondrous, wonderful and welcomed in our lives when we choose to live by it. Have you made that choice? Living by it may not make everything perfect in your live, but it will give you all the instruction that you need to make it through life.
