Everything is "specialized" in
society. If you need a doctor, you go to a specialist. My husband sees a
cardiologist and if he asks him about a particular ailment he has, this doctor
will tell him, "That is not my field". When a person needs an attorney, they
have to see one who handles that particular type of issue. There are businesses
that only handle clothing, some only carry tools, others only sale appliances,
and so on. All specialized to do one thing and meet only one
need.
Jesus is not like that. He is
a "Specialist", but He specializing in doing whatever it is we need. He is a
specialist in every area that we have a need. When you need a Savior, He
specializes in saving. If you need a Healer, He specializes in healing. If you
need a Deliverer, He specializes in delivering. There is nothing that He can't
do-- He can do it all.
He can save, He can heal, He
can deliver, He can comfort, He can restore, He can provide, He can give
direction, He can defend you, He can give you peace, He can give you joy. He
can strengthen you. If you need wisdom, He can give you wisdom. If you need
help, regardless of what area you need it in (spirit, soul or body), He can give
it to you. He specializes in them all. Again, there is nothing that He can't
do.
He is El-Shaddai (the All
Sufficient God) sufficient and more than able for whatever you need. He doesn't
help you to a point then have to send you somewhere else to someone else. Your
help is in Him-- ALL your help! Every area of help! He is well able to take
care of it all.
