"His Lovingkindness"

"Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee." Psalm 63:3

Do you ever think about the lovingkindness of the Lord? It's because of His lovingkindness that we aren't cast away when we make a mistake and can find forgiveness when we sin. It's because of His lovingkindness that He takes pity on us and helps us in our times of need. His lovingkindness causes Him to take note of us. It's because of His lovingkindness that He shows us mercy, goodness, kindness and grace. It's because of His lovingkindness that He is faithful to us even when we aren't faithful. His lovingkindness brought Jesus to earth to pay the randsom for our sins.

I could go on and on talking about His lovingkindness but this devotional would be a little longer than you would want to take time to read. I don't know how much thought you give to the lovingkindness of the Lord but take time this weekend to think about tit, to meditate upon it, to read scriptures about His lovingkindness, to thank Him for it. We tend to focus more on certain other aspects of God's character but most of them are rooted in His lovingkindess.
