"Guard Your Heart"

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23

We are living in a time when so much is vying for our hearts. There are so many things that want our hearts- relationships, entertainment, money, careers, etc.  They are all after our hearts.  They want our devotion, our worship, our allegiance, our attention, our time, but mostly that place that should be reserved for God alone.

Because the return of the Lord is soon it is of the utmost importance that we guard our hearts from being stolen away from Him. We can't afford to let anything pull us away from the Lord. Our whole hearts must belong to Him- not a portion, not a percent, but all. The first and greatest commandment, according to Jesus, was to love the Lord our God with all our heart.

Do you feel the pull of other things attaching themselves to your heart? Is your heart being divided? Who has your heart? Does the Lord? If so, is He sharing it with something else or does He have it all? It's not a time to let anything captivate or capture your heart other than Him.

Have a great day. Guard your heart so that it may be preserved for only Him.
