"Rejoice"

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

This is not a "conditional" verse. What I mean by that is it is not specific as to when you should rejoice, or under what conditions you should rejoice or not. It doesn't say to rejoice only in the good times when things are going well, or refrain from it when things aren't. The reason why is because no matter what comes our way today the Lord has promised to be with us, not forsake us and provide everything that we need.

It is not a matter of "can" you rejoice but "will" you. We can because of the reasons I have already listed. But will we? Will we rejoice? Will we look past the things that are happening in our lives and look to the One who loves us, cares about us, meets our needs and is faithful to fulfill His promises to us?
Will we exercise our faith by rejoicing in His goodness even when we aren't seeing it? When we take a moment, even in a bad situation, to acknowledge the Lord, then our acknowledging will pretty soon turn to rejoicing.

Have a great day. We can rejoice today on matter what may be happening when we remember that the Lord is with us.
