"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15
Just because you may not have the opportunity to travel overseas and preach the gospel does not exempt you from sharing it with others. "Go ye into all the world" does not necessarily mean taking it to foreign lands, although they are included. "All the world" also means "all the world"- in your homeland and abroad.
"The world" consist of wherever you are. You have a "world" on your job that needs to hear the gospel. There is "the world" in your family and among your friends. There is "a world" sitting behind bars, in a recovery center, in nursing homes and on the streets. There is a "world" that we are surrounded by as we go about our daily activities. This "world" is in the grocery store, the doctor's office, the restaurant and in our place of employment-- it's wherever you find people.
"The world" doesn't mean just a geographical location. It's wherever you find "every creature". It is wherever there are people who need the gospel. That's "the world". So you and I have no excuse for not fulfilling the commission because everywhere we find ourselves is "the world".
Have a great day. "Your world" is part of "the world" that needs to hear the gospel.
