"Follow His Footprints"

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." Hebrews 4:15

One thing I have noticed in studying the Book of 1 Peter is that each time Peter talks about the things they were suffering, he then reminds them that Jesus suffered too. Jesus went through the same things they were going through. He went through the slander, the reproach, the lies and false accusations. He was beaten. He was rejected. He was tempted. He was acquainted with their suffering because He went through it Himself. This is why the verse above tells us that He is "touched with the feeling of our infirmities". He knows what it is like- He went through it all when He was on earth.

Jesus knows what you are going through today. He has already walked that path before you. And now, may I say, He is walking it again-- this time with you. You are not walking it alone, He is right there with you. And not only is He with you, He is shining a light on the dark path which reveals His very own footprints so you can see how to walk through this. You have His presence to comfort you, His footprints to follow, and His word to light up the way. You can make it through this and come out victorious-- because He did.

Have a great day. Jesus knows what you are going through, He's been down that same path and left His footprints to lead the way through it.
