"Above The Problems"

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1,2

When the Psalmist was in trouble and needed help, where did he say that his help came from? It came from the Lord. Where did he find the Lord in the times he needed help? He found Him by looking up- up to the hills. Think about it. He didn't say that he had to look for the Lord on the other side of the universe. And he didn't say he had to look down into a valley, a craven or a pit.

He looked "up" to find the Lord his helper. Looking to the hills to find the Lord is significant. It means that God is in a place that is higher than our problems, not in a place that is lower. How could a God who is to be found beneath my problems be able to solve my problems? How could He solve them or be of any help to me if they are above Him- if they are higher than He is, if they are over His head?

Your problem, your situation, what you are going through is not above your God this morning. He is above them. They are under His feet, not above His head. So stop looking down, look up, up to the Lord who is on the "Hills", who is highly exalted above your problems.

Have a great day. Your God is above your problems, looking down on them- they are not higher than He is.
