"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." James 4:8
Do you ever feel like God is nowhere to be found? Do you feel like He has moved? Do you feel distant from Him? Guess what, He hasn't moved, He hasn't gone anywhere. If you feel a distance between you and Him, perhaps you have moved.
The Bible says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. That means He doesn't change. It also means He doesn't change His location. He is where He was yesterday, the day before, the century before, actually before the world began. He hasn't changed His position or place. He is still seated on the throne. He is still high and lifted up. He is still in the place of mercy and grace. He hasn't left His place of power... ever! He is right where you left Him and where He has been since the eternal past.
If you are wanting to be close to Him again, then you are the one who has to make a move because you are the one who made the move to begin with-- not Him. The move you need to make is a determined step to draw near to Him. He said when you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. You have to make the first step toward Him just like the prodigal son did when he got up out of the pigpen to go home. The son had to make the effort to go to the father-- the father was still where the son left him-- at home.
Have a great day. If God feels distance, He's not. He's where He has always been.
